Medarray, Inc. received notification from the Unites States Patent and Trademark Office that two new patents will be awarded to Medarray, both pertaining to novel methods for forming bundles of hollow fibers. The company uses proprietary forming processes to create self-supporting silicone (PDMS) hollow fibers more efficiently than conventional silicone fiber spinning processes. These hollow fibers are then packaged in membrane modules to provide customers effective means for transferring gases and vapors in and out of various fluids.

Silicone permeable membranes separate gases and vapors based on permeability differences - not on pore size - allowing them to perform challenging separations from mixed gases to gases dissolved in liquids.
