Medarray Hires New Quality Manager Release Date: May 7, 2012 (Ann Arbor, MI)
Medarray, an innovative device manufacturer specializing in silicone hollow fiber membranes and membrane modules, welcomes Richard (Rusty) Ballas as its new Quality Manager. Mr. Ballas will lead the implementation of a new plant-wide quality system focused on all aspects of Medarray's membrane module production and development work, and will support the Company's manufacturing process development with an emphasis on quality control.
"Richard Ballas' experience as a Quality and Quality Systems Manager, specifically in the medical device markets is a great addition to the Medarray team," said Jake Nikolic, Medarray's Senior Product Manager. "His technical knowledge and long term experience with health care and life sciences manufacturers will help deliver the benefits of our quality solutions to markets that really value them, including medical device, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology."
A seasoned quality professional with broad technical expertise, Mr. Ballas has over 20 years' experience as a quality specialist. Most recently, he was with Jabil, Health Care & Life Sciences Industrial, as Quality Systems Manager. While at Jabil, he implemented procedures and ensured plant-wide compliance with FDA, cGMP, QSR, ISO 9001/13485/14001/TS 16949/ESD certifications. He received his Master's degree in Administration from Central Michigan University. Mr. Ballas said "I appreciate the opportunity and challenge ahead in creating a Quality Management System which will meet all the company goals and assist us in pleasing our customers while helping each of us define and improve our business processes." Mr. Ballas will report to Patrick Montoya, President and CEO of Medarray.
